skillshare

I decided I needed a new creative challenge, so I made one up! I’m taking a Skillshare class every day in the month of June! It all started after I wrote this blog post on Creating Beautifully about 13 different DIY Floral projects you could try on Skillshare.

I’m going to add a new project here each day (with the exception of June 4th – that’s my anniversary!) so check back if you’d like to see what I’m up to and what classes I’m taking.

Day 1: June 1st 2017: Wonderful Watercolor: Learn to Paint a Peony Wreath

My project from the class: Wonderful Watercolor: Learn to Paint a Peony Wreath

Day 2: June 2nd, 2017: Illustration & Inspiration: Keeping a Sketchbook

This is such a fun class from Leah Goren! In it she talks about keeping a sketchbook and then demonstrates drawing a pattern, from life, and her space. It’s 31 minutes filled with creative inspiration! I decided on a “pattern” (not sure this currently qualifies, but it’s similar to her demo where she painted cats) of mushrooms:

After getting busy with work, I realized that there was pretty much NO WAY I was going yo be able to take a class a day in June. (Whoops!) But I’m going to take as many as I can. Here’s what I did today:

Day 8: June 11th, 2017: Watercolor Story: Practice the Essentials (this is from the value study portion of the class).
